Nothing to do with track, but sporting oddities always interesting to note. The Mickleson & Weir 1-2 at Pebble Beach last weekend was the first ever such finish by left-handers in a PGA event.

Re: Lefties Of The World Rejoice!
>>Are golfers even>athletes?<<
I love bashing golf whenever I get a chance. As I often said when I was in my virile late 20s, any 'sport' where a 68 year old granny can beat me even up, ain't no sport!

they were athletes, but that doesn't make golf a sport. NASCAR isn't a sport either (hate mail may be addressed to [email protected] - I live 1.5 hours from Daytona), but there are some great athletes driving cars.

I agree.
A game where people of this stature:

can make it to the top does not, IMHO, define 'sport.'
Golf belongs in a "Games and Past-times" category, along with Chess, Tiddlywinks and Snooker.
