I think this is great that Oregon State is reopening their women's track program. Although there was mention of specializing on mid and long distances, are they going to also include any of the throws? There are a couple of great coaches, from just down the "road", that could kick start the Beavers new commitment.

Interesting that in the Oregon State web page article they mention Kathy Weston representing OSU at the nationals.

If memory serves, she represented four different schools in four years at the nationals. This was the old AIAW league, where there was no such thing as sitting out after a transfer.

Kind of a chuckle for any of the schools to claim Weston as their own...!
