Is this an NCAA record for indoors and out, American or "furiner"?

If so, I guess one of the few track records that has been set indoors?

If I'm not mistaken, the only world record set indoors is Bubka.

No, even limiting collegiate marks to those set within the college season, 2:00.75 is only #6 (and not even a school record). In fact, the 1990 NCAA race alone saw three runners better that time - Suzy Favor (1:59.11 CR), Jasmin Jones (2:00.24), and Meredith Rainey (2:00.48).

Bill, I think this will become more and more common as we get more of the Notre Dame, Kentucky, & Washington oversized tracks and the banked 200m versions like Tyson. With the controlled meet conditions & more schools having indoor workout facilities to get sharp, I think indoor is fast becoming on par with outdoor at the NCAA level in many events. Other opinions?

It is an indoor CR. Interesting, at about the same time as this happened I was talking with Amy Wickus (former record holder).

Yes, this is certainly the trend. Akron just opened up a new 300-meter indoor track/football facility this past fall.

With more and more facilities being built each decade, many schools realize that (if there is funding, of course) to just build an indoor football facility with a track around it.

I've got video of the SEC Women's 800M, the final lap I recall. If there is interest I'll upload later this evening.

What is Amy doing these days? I really liked her running.
