  • Looking to develop core/abdominal strength

Can any of you suggest a good source (book, video, journal, etc.) for core and abdominal strengthening excercises suitable for college-level track and field athletes? Thanks for the help

Ask your coach. Most college level or even high school level coaches have lots of books on strength training and conditioning. A coach in my area recently gave me an official book on long jump from USATF that is really hard to find if you're not a coach.

try the peak performance web site. Here are two articles from the library. Do a search on "core fitness" once you're on the site and many articles are listed.

You might also want to look at Functional Training for Sports by Michael Boyle (Human Kinetics). It covers more than just the core/abs.
