  • Kerron Clement

I am surprised at the lack of discussion about the great quad put on by Kerron Clement this weekend at the SEC's. 400 sin in 45.29 and then returns to take 3rd in duece in 20.40 with a decidedly slower lane and before this he placed in the hurdles with a provisional mark and closed things out with a great job on the relay.
I can't think of anyone in recent memory at this level with 4 performances of this quality in one day!

So, who is the future, Kerron or Bershawn? Kerron certainly seems the most mature and dependable at this moment.

        Why can't it be both?

It was a great quad for Kerron. The youth movement in track & field is just incredible.

Note; Lane 4 at Arkansas is not a "decidedly slower lane". Spearmon ran 20.36 from lane 4 & only improved to 20.35 in lane 5 with comp.

I would like someone to quantify the advantage that the Lafayette ARK indoor track gives to the 200 and 400 relative to the other tracks.. say Reggie Lewis Boston or the Atlanta facility.
... nothing really ever changes my friend, new lines for old, new lines for old.

it's actually constructed to the same specs. as the georgia dome & hoosier dome - so all the banking,lane-width,etc. are the same presumably:

              http://216.109.117.135/search/cache?p=a ... 1&.intl=us

the only question is the type of mondo:

does fayet use the same mondo as in it's original '93 toronto incarnation or did they change it in '00 on transfer ?

i don't know about hoosier or georgia & their mondo either

the question of altitude also comes into play

              gh ?

                Re: Kerron Clement

Since the Toronto/Arkansas track has changed color, I have to assume new Mondo was laid (rather than somehow painting it) when it changed hands.
