Jeez, too bad they didn't put all the big guns in the same race. Gatlin v Capel would have been interesting.

After running poorly at Nationals, then having only a 10.32 to his credit in Europe, Gatlin was obviously calcualted as not good enough for their loaded field. The rough life of being a meet promoter, having to make these kinds of guesses. I wouldn't have let him in if it were my race. (On the other hand, not sure I'd have let Capel in either, even if he did have a 10.02 PR in Greece a few days back.)

Good points. He probably didn't deserve to be in the A race considering. It's great to see him back anyhow. I had this image of him being haunted by this injury for the rest of his career.

no he was positive for stimulant, he was taking adderall for adhd which was stupid since it is not really effective in adults anyway...
