I'm pretty sure he's not with Tony Campbell any more. JJJ has a new-look site online:

Kenteris has that unique aproach to the sport, he prefers focus on the big events and forget about the meets.
Nobody that is a world class athlete ever did something like that, but that is the way he does.
I don't think that is right start saying things without any evidence.

JJ is a real burner. Would like to see him break the world 200m record.

Color is not the reason Kenterisi has gotten the flack that he has ... HE doesn't race ...Period ... its not a matter of picking and choosing his spots ... HE simply doesn't race ... Add to that that his own federation didn't know where he was (out of the country) at drug test time and color is not the issue here ...

JJJ is injured that is why he has not competed. It has nothing do do with his agent or being smart

you are right johnson must not have a good agent otherwise he would have been in some of the races, maybe he is waiting for the last 2-3 meets since there will be a 10 day break the end of this month. kenteris is another story, he gets government assistance (about 40000 euros they say) for every big meet win on top of the prize money and what ever else he cab grab. he has not competed in a grand prix race outside his country since 2001 and in that race he got smoked...

Both NT and D sounds are spelled as NT in Greek, so in Greek it is spelled as KENTERIS. You would have to hear how one pronounces it in order to decide whether to spell it with NT or D in English. You can also spell it GOD as 10 million, if not more, Greeks like to think so.

I believe he spelled his name Tonie Campbell,

Speaking of spellings, is it Kenteris or Kederis?

Edwin Moses used to pick and choose more than anyone, that's how he kept his streak going. No one said he was ducking people, even though he may very well have been doing that, knowing over-raced opponents could be burned out late in the season or by the time championships rolled around. Then again, Kenteris could run 19.2 at the World's and never get credit due to his color. How things have reversed.

Kenteris is paid by his country to pick at major championships. That is his job and he seems that he is doing it right.

    Cheers

Actually, JJJ has a very good agent in Tony Campbell (same name as, but not the great US hurdler). Campbell also represents Felix Sanchez, Coby Miller, Savante Stringfellow, among others. This being a WC year and without the 200 being a GL jackpot event, I am sure they are just picking and choosing the right races at the right time.
I don't think anyone knows Kenteris' agenda.

Competition is what keeps one sharp .. The keky is to not over race ... With Johnson being as up and down as he is I would think he would need the sharpening ... Kenteris is another matter ...

I believe that Johnson should run here or there before de WC, because you need to get some races to really be in your best form in the Wc.
Well...Kenteris has always do that... in 2001 he only ran in the European Cup before winning te WC, that is the way he does things...so let's wait and see.

I don't under stand why Johnson is not running in a few of these races.Michael Johnson used to run in about half of them in big championship years. However he was doubling back then. Kederis is another story. I wonder about all the rumors with him. Sounds pretty strange for both considering they will only contest the 200. Particularly Kederis.
