I am looking for good websites regarding track and field with solid information on athletes, meets, up to date result postings, etc. and I figgered you folks would know a few.
What do you got?
I'm a stats geek, and the sites I find most useful are: www.trackandfieldnews.com: duh www.letsrun.com: if you ignore the majority of the crap posted there, the message board occasionally has some useful results and training tips www.iaaf.org: live results from GP meets, world rankings and top lists www.dyestat.com: excellent high school coverage www.tilastopaja.com: an extremely useful database in researching almost any elite runners PRs www.algonet.se/~pela2/men.htm: my favorite site; an incredibly deep all-time performance listing in almost all track and field events
Some of these were obvious but I am licking the ones I have not seen.
What about specifically throws/field events sites?
other than LSTJ, The Ring, hammerthrow.org.

The "best" site is whatever site is going to fulfill whatever particular need you have at a particular point in time. The above sites listed are all great but last week-end, for
example, when I wanted the results from Watford, I was hanging out here: http://www.britishmilersclub.com/results/
If you want unofficial quick results from some hard to find meet or race, letsrun hands down. Just ask the question.
You want quick official results from a reasonably big meet, hang on the meet site.
If you just want to just generally troll, IMHO T&FN and letsrun. You want a Canuck angle, go to tnfnorth. If you want sprint gossip and info-sub10-hands down
In addition to the others that have been mentioned, one that I find useful is www.athletix.org. Among its assets is a very good list of links to other t and f sites.
