so the assumption is berlin is remodelling the olympic stadium for the 2006 World Cup and then use it for 2009??

Im going to consider it, .. to further entice me, Id like to recommend that they tear up their synthetic track, resurface with some crushed cinder give each athlete a commemorative spade shovel and recreate the performances of the 1936 OLYgames.. only ask that no attempt is made to recreate the political atmosphere of that era.

Aber wir haben keine pfennige, nur Euros und cents. Was is los?

Berlin is a great city. I have been there twice, 1st when in the US Army in '65 and in '02 as part of my old DDR swing prior to Gotzis. Much to see, much to do and much to eat. Wunderbar. In my two trips (total of about 10 days), I never made it far enough west to visit the stadium. Boo hiss.

Berlin is a great city. I have been there twice, 1st when in the US Army in '65 and in '02 as part of my old DDR swing prior to Gotzis. Much to see, much to do and much to eat. Wunderbar. In my two trips (total of about 10 days), I never made it far enough west to visit the stadium. Boo hiss.

PS, for those culturally inclined, the museums are superb, but if you want to see/hear the Berlin Philharmonic, plan way in advance. They pretty much sell out the hall on a subscription basis and didn't have a web site in '02 (why?, the seats were sold, we were told). There are other concert options.
