    Re: How many

I recently travelled 18 hours each way to spend four days in Madrid at the European Championships.

Got to meet a bunch of other rabid fans including Jon!

We live track and field in our house all year round and it is not our jobs! Run three different track programs, organize high school, national and international meets. Make our own hurdles, shovel and then sell manure to make money for uniforms and travel almost every single weekend May-August. All this as volunteers.
Hubby is mobbed at local trackmeets by parents, kids and coaches all seeking coaching advice. Phone rings off the hook with crying, excited, nervous teens- as HS Champs approach this reaches ridiculous levels! Wouldn't change any of it for the world! I would like another woman friend who was as obsessed as I am but hanging with guys is cool !
Been involved in the sport for over 30 years, DH for 45!

I think this is way off the question but others strayed before I did!

          Re: How many

How about one who sits at the computer and keeps reloading to see the results of all of the heats of the high school boys 4x400 at Penn?

Yep- spent 6 hours shovelling composted manure into burlap bags and then 8 hours delivering them to homes. It is actually a great money maker.

Good grief - wasn't there something like 40+ heats?!

                      Re: How many

Yeah, there were plenty of heats. That being said, I'm sure that asu and myself weren't the only ones -- nothing is better for a slow day at work than a track meet with live results being posted. Well, the first two days of the NCAA tournament might be better, but you see my point.

                        46, but who's counting.
