  • Armed Forces still in Heptagonals ?

Does anyone out there know the scoop on Navy staying in the Heps or are they going to crash the Patriot League for good ? (a.k.a. the league Army's mens team always wins)

Ivy ADs voted Navy out. This was precipitated by the Navy women's team withdrawing from this year's outdoor champs. The coaches had recommended, 18-0, to allow the Navy men to remain in the Heps.

Well now the question is whether we still call the meet the Heptagonals (which was an inaccurate name for most of the history of the meet) or can we finally, for the first time since the formal establishment of the Ivy League, have an Ivy League Championships?

Since the ACC raided the Big East, let's have the Heps raid the ACC. We can invite Virginia to re-join the Heps. (Didn't know the Cavs were once in, did you?)

Stanford used to be called "the Harvard of the west"; shouldn't Harvard now be called "the Stanford of the east"?
