  • Be afraid, be very afraid

When this first came out, one idiot on the news said, when discussing the 40 minute jog, she could have gone "2 to 2 and a half miles". This article refers to her as:

    "Wilbanks, a marathon runner,..."

Clearly, this guy has been doing too much text messaging:

"Meanwhile, Mason, the jilted groom, says he still wants to marry her."

After listening to the jilted groom on Sean Hannity's radio show on Monday (driving from San Fran, only decent talk radio reception available), I later watched Hannity and Combes on TV. It was a long interview with SH, jilted groom, her Dad and JG's pastor. It made me nauseous and plainly obvious why she legged it.

What's your point? I might even be able to squeeze in close to THREE miles.

If she was going for a 40 min work out 2.5 mile out from home she turns back and by mile five she is back home after a 8 min a mile work out.(thus defining a possible search area)
I understand your point. People have no idea how much distance a marathoner/LD runner really puts in. I do not really think the reporter saw it the same as I did. He was just clueless as to how fast a LD runner trains.

"He said 'the Bible calls that sin.'"

Saw a comic today-Johnnie Cochrane talking to someone at the pearly gates-paraphrasing a bit:

"If you can't prove the sin, you gotta let me in."

If she didn't wan't him before he should
leave her in the rear view mirror and find someone
else after all the female population is larger
                than the male population.

Re: Be afraid, be very afraid

The only false statement she has made, according to news reports, was her claiming to be abducted. Other than that, no laws have been broken. She is an adult and she can go anywhere she wishes and doesn't have to give anybody her itinerary. If she ( or you or I) wants to disappear, she can. If somebody wants to call the cops and report her missing, that is between the cops and those who made the report. She's stupid, but can anybody tell me what law SHE broke, other than one false statement. Is lawdude around? Maybe he can clear this up.

Georgia prosecutors may go for either a misdemeanor or a felony (false reporting)

                        http://sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f ... 455D63.DTL

and in any case, the whole search cost $60,000

                          That's plenty bad enough.

The point is that she didn't break any law by disappearing.

no, but she (apparently) broke the law by calling in a fake kidnapping attempt.
