in the ethiopian championships werknesh kidane beat bezunesh bekele (any relation, sister maybe?) and e.dibaba to win the womens 10k. interesting what kidane said afterwards, she said she needs to get qualified to run in helsinki, which she said she has not done yet. but wouldnt her olympic time of 30.28 combined with winning todays trials assure she is going? i thought the qualifying period is january 1st 2004 to july 26th 2005 so she would have already qualified. she also said she plans to break her personal best of 30.07 before helsinki.

Re: ethiopian championships, bekele, dibaba lose
Kid
is the 'thopy gal with the greatest endurance of the huddle
it's fantastic news she's won the 10k - i just hope that means she gets onto the WC team
let me assure you, if she's fit come 'sinki, she can follow 30 flat pace with no problem
Kid v paula ?
paula needs to be in at least 29'50 shape to break the

Re: ethiopian championships, bekele, dibaba lose
she (kidane) has a qualifying time from last year and she won the trials i wonder what she meant by saying she has to get a qualifying mark. if radcliffe runs the 10k in helsinki, she will likely have to face four ethiopians as berhane adere is automatically in as the defending champion, radcliffe may need to run under world record pace to break the ethiopians, i cant wait it should be interesting.
