Shes too articulate for their broadcasts. Joe-NASCAR might not understand some of the words she says, not that they're watching anyway, although they keep trying to reach that demographic. Its odd how TNF is the one sport that is broadcast entirely to the demographic that doesn't watch it. Who was the crackhead who decided to do that??

i was surprised to hear that too. the cheapskapes from the Absurd Broadcasting Company just want to do everything from the studio. i guess that is why they are only showing the last day, they will probably try to cram 40 events into 3 1/2 hrs, what morons !
i checked repeatedly this weekend's schedule. abc has no sports coverage tomorrow in the afternoon window (3-6 edt/ noon-3 pdt) expect some taped college preview show. on sunday again they have a taped nfl show, but nothing same day or live, nothing. i dont understand why they are not showing the world championships tomorrow, they are not showing anything anyway !!!
in reality we should not expect anything from those bastards on the American Bastard Company. out own people sold us out. i dont care if they put it on espn classic, fox sports world or the outdoor channel, i would rather have decent coverage rather than the canned bullshit abc and espn are going to give with 3 days taped coverage. masback and co should stop appealing to the masses, they are too DUMB to get track and field anyway. they should at least try to make the die hard fans like us happy. at least they will have some people watching that way.
i dont mind it is live or same day tape i would rather watch 2 or 3 hrs everyday, even if it is on some obscure channel on the 300s. SHOW THE GOOD DAMN MEET YOU MORONS !!!!!!!

ABC had its crew at the Little League World Series. Although broadcast in the evening, that would probably affect their. Besides, they can show even a taped NFL show & draw far more viewers than they got for every day of the 2001 world championships, save the final day. Fact remains, hardcore fans will watch anyway. It's the "casual" fans who they seek to attract, which can make or break a sport's ratings. However, it would be nice if track's hardcore base was bigger.
