I don't believe my ears Mark are you saying that
you feel that my pick Hicks could come from behind
and get on the medal stand?

Of coures not. My point was that there are precedents; Borza being one of them, then of course Wottle. In actuality I believe you have a point; I think relying on a massive kick a la Borza loses you more races than you win. However, if they stayed on the pace would that kick be there at the finish? Possibly not.

I am surprised no one has gone under 1:44 yet this year.

<IIRC, the winners would be Mal Whitfield and Peter Snell - but that's purely from memory. (Did El Caballo do it too??)

No idea about silver, unless it was Seb Coe ...

Apparently considered too easy or boring by most. No, Juantorena did not win two 800s in the Olys. And from memory, Arthur Wint won two silvers (48 and 52) behind Whitfield. And Coe in 1980 and 1984 behind Ovett and Cruz(?).

What is considered too easy or boring by most? The 800? If true, than mosts are idiots, at least about the easy part.
