Plus 10 men have already cleared 5.80 outdoors this year, which is more than in all of last season. The world season best is also higher than last year (5.93 vs 5.90). I have believed for a long time that the effect of the new pegs is almost negligible - 2 or 3 cm at most. The indoor season this year might have been crap, but it wasn't because of the pegs - the event was just in a bit of a crisis.Comment
