Anything over 7' in the HJ and 17' in the PV automatically converts itself to the Imperial system. That's just how it works! :-)

Actually, if you are like me, all the really quality marks in HJ/PV seen are at BIG meets, and the marks are shown metic only. The wife doesn't have a clue about imperial measure for the verticals. "6-8, what's that. 2.03. Wow, that's high"

Even with good weather, Championship marathons tend to start out slowly. I imagine PR will push the women's pace, but the men's could dawdle (if you call 5 min miles dawdling) through 20K.
