Looking at the medal totals over the weekend, I saw the large lead by the USA followed by Cuba. Canada's total looked anemic. Are they usually this low, or are they attending another world class meet?

I don't know how the track and field medals stack up but the total medals are as follows:
1. US-population 300 miilion plus-153
2. Cuba-population unknown but state sponsored sports program-107
3. Canada-population 30 million plus-68
I'd say that the totals stack up pretty favourably.

Things just got better for Canada! Bronze for Anson Henry in the 100!!!
Huh?
That's my way of saying Mickey Grimes just came up with an ephedrine positive, so he loses the gold. (that's just a 1-meet suspension substance)

MJD..........with Brazil at 175+ million, Argentina at 30+ million and Cuba using the latest East German technology Canada appears more competitive than I thought. It might be interesting to see just the Track and Field medal breakdown to date and compare those totals.
