I'm continually amazed at the U.S. m4X100 teams. Didn't most(all) of the runners come up through the school and university systems? They should have run multiple relays in the past. However, maybe the ones who reach world class level were always the fastest kid on the team and only ran anchor.
Mardy Scales. He got the baton into Gay's (or
>was it Jelks?) hand, but forgot to let go. They were both holding onto it for

It was Leonards fault. He admitted to it. He said the baton was slippery and you could see it was placed in his hand in a good position but he eneded up holding the very bottom of the stick before it toppled to the track. I don't understand these guys not practicing. Mardy had no open events and Leonard was finished at the beginning of week!

I just don't understand where people are getting the idea that no one practiced relay exchanges! Read the comments by Scales. They have been there three weeks, and have regularly worked on exchanges.

Well it doesnt show. Getting the baton around is paramount to being in the race less known winning the race. Mechanics first. Then practice more!
