  • WC m4x4 heats

USA in second heat. Don't mean to jinx them, but they could drop the baton, go to the store, buy another one, and still win the heat.

    lol!!!

theres a slight chance that each american relay runner will indeed drop the baton at least once.

can we still qualify? that is the question.

For what it's worth (from my watch), all unrounded handtimes:

          Smith 44.96
          Brew 44.79
          Merritt 45.34
          Williamson 45.37
          TOTAL: 3:00.46 (actual 3:00.48)

I was surprised they ran Williamson since he's been "looking tired", and didnt save him for the final?

So why would Williamson not run a 46 and win rather than a 45.3 to win.... also hats off to Brew, great leg.

Parallel question to his NCAA 400m semi-final.

Hedman eased the final 20m on the anchor, but still brought home GB to a 3.01,95 win.

With Smith and Brew running good legs, will Rock and Wariner replace Merritt and Williamson in the finals?

It looked like he tied up -- Davis ran an excellent leg, an well as that Junior on the 2nd!
