nothing cleared up today. chambers has run well in britain, but not anywhere else. collins has been coming up of late and could win a race around 9.96 since it is not shaping up to be fast.
to me maurice is the big question mark. if he is anything close to 9.9 form he will win.
i can tell you who will not win: montgomery, drummond, mark lewis francis, patrick johnson.

Didn't Chambers set the european record last year on that same Paris track that they are holding the WC? I don't think he will run poorly just because he isn't running in Britain. After all, he isnt japanese.
Someone said FREDRICKS--I love the guy, and he's my favorite for the 200, but I expect he'll not win the 100. It seems the "will not's" are easier than the "will's", which makes this a very exciting race. I think you're going to see a lot of muscle-flexing in the rounds from the big guys, especially Boldon. Williams is looking really good, but I think that Greene will show that he really is still the best.
I don't think a US athlete will win. Bernard Williams has been the most consistent but I suspect he might have gone over the top a little bit.(peaked too early) The guy who looks very dangerous to me is Deji Alui of Nigeria. Another real live outsider is Asafa Powell of Jamaica who raced Justin Gatlin to a dead heat twice earlier this season. Justin just ran 9.97 legal. My bet Alui.
i was hoping that zurich would solve a lot of things, but basically it just told me who cant win. it is a huge'huge crapshoot, but the closest i will come to lazing my reputation on the line is to saz that it probablz depends on whether its mo or chambers who comes back in best shape, with collins a great outsider.
