How much exactly did she compete? Tilastopaja lists very few results for her - a total of 9 appearances in all events combined in 2005, out of which only 3 were outdoors. I realize it's not the complete record as it misses some of her best performances, I'd just like to know how much they're missing.
Also, for someone who took college competition so seriously, I find it strange she didn't compete in the NCAA. Was there a particular reason I'm not aware of?
She only pole vaulted a few times. This girl was also running hurdles, throwing the jav, high jumping, and I am not sure what else. I don't know that her marks in the other events were good enough for Tilastopaja's lists.

Why wasn't she in the NCAA? She only started pole vaulting recently. She was a two-sport standout at Roberts Wesleyan. I don't know what her marks out of high school looked like relative to the NCAA, I doubt she was good enough to be a competitive 2-sport athlete at a DI school. She started really competing in the pole vault her 4th year of college, and last year was her 5th year. Do you seriously think she should have transferred to a DI school in that time???

Edit: Roberts Wesleyan is in the NAIA, the same as the school I am attending. I am obviously a big fan of the NAIA, it's been great for me.

That I'm aware of - but every school is in one of the three divisions, right?
Here are all of the colleges in the US and Canada with track programs. http://www.polevaultpower.com/college/teamlinks.php

Her college coaches just had her doing lots of events because she is a stud and it would score points for them. I don't believe she has any plans to continue doing other events.

She also finished as the second highest career point scorer in the school's basketball team.

Those PR's in the running events sound very slow for a 15 foot (note I've given up) pole valuter? Am I mistaken?

How fast a vaulter can run 100m is irrelevant. As Steve Smith used to say (hyperbolically), "Only one step matters, and that's the one before the plant, and at that point I'm moving as fast as Steve Williams."

Not at all? What about the kinetic energy?

I'm gonna have to disagree with ya there. Yes, the only two steps that matter are the last two, but if ya ain't got BIG wheels, ya ain't bringing sh*t. 13-point 100m speed IS going to be a limiting factor, but then again, height makes a big difference too and it didn't stop Joe Dial from being awesome, so I'll defer judgement on JS till she gets out in the open more. We need a couple of girls (excuse me - women) at 15'6 to keep up with the rest of the world's progress, and if she (and maybe her erstwhile teammate, Mary Saxer) can do it, I'm on the bandwagon, whooping & hollering.

do you mean irrelevant as in completely unimportant? gh, i repect your many years in this great sport but are you sure you dont want to clarify? :?

                                gh is right.

A 100m time will give you a very rough idea of someone's potential. I have the worst time trying to break 15.0 in the 100. I'm never going to be a 15 foot vaulter.

But it really is all about how much speed you carry into the takeoff.
