Have Millrose and USATF been on consecutive weeks before? Also, with a World Indoor berth no longer the prize, seems like attendance might be down. OTOH, those entry lists look pretty good if they all show.

With no World Champs this season, it could go either way, with some playing it safe, while others go all-out, as if this were the World Champs.

        I'm pretty sure they haven't.

USATF puts up decent prize money for this meet. Maybe not enough to be significant for the super-elite, but certainly an attraction for many good athletes.

I suspect many (top) athletes are just training through it, Brazier, Wilson Purrier etc. I think a few athletes even noted they were able to shift their schedule and go "back into" training since world indoors was cancelled. Goal is obviously the Olympics.

              Brazier has scratched.

Huh, you listed them as starters. The status of entries shows them as scratched.

This reminds me of the side conversation on the Mondo film thread. Equally useless. I was just trying to provide new info about specific scratches.

Sigh. Sorry. My original point was that it's hard to gauge who is going to show up. I posted who had entered, You then emphasized my point by listing who had dropped, an important point to make - showing that even some of the original entries wouldn't show up. It's all good, DD!

                            I'll be there!

Combined it with a family vacation. My husband will be coming with me. He is not a big track fan, but he is good for a few hours of elite track every now and then, I think he'll enjoy the meet.

I miss the "old days " of the "old" Garden and the wooden 11 lap track for NYAC, Millrose, KofC, and AAU.
