I don't see a terrible demerit of South Dakota in those numbers, but I do see San Francisco in a very positive light. That SanFran could have such an effective response to cv19 has to be a story worth exploring and contrasting with other cities.

Perhaps there won’t be quite as much depth, but I’m sure there are plenty of HS athletes that have continued to train and are more than eager to compete.
      Should be interesting.

NSAF indoor meet moving to Ocean Breeze(NY). Still looking for a title sponsor(undoubtedly due to unrealistic price tag)

Hoping they do something REALLY revolutionary--adding a 10000 race (one for each sex!) to their OUTdoor program!
The World Juniors have a 10k for Men (but NOT for Women--although they DID, as a Chinese woman holds the "Meet Record" of 32:29 from 1992!)--so why not the NBN??
The HSR's for the 10k's--especially with the depth of distance runners in recent years in HS--are there for the taking!1
My Top 24 All Time lists for the 10000's end with 30:30 for the Men, and 36:19 for the Women!!
Would LOVE to see 10-20 guys and gals get their names on those lists!!

I'm not at all convinced that 28:32.7 and 32:52.5 are "there for the taking" in a high school-only race.

The Men's time would be tougher to beat!
But let's say Katelyn Tuohy took a shot at it--when in her 15:37 5k shape!!
                      32:52 is two 5k's of 16:26 each!
Look at collegiates and even Pro's who run 15:37.
Slowing down a full 49 seconds per 5k is VERY doable!
"Normal" slowdown for the 5k and 10k is between 30 and 40 seconds!
And the Women aren't limited to the Tuohy's of this world!

But I wasn't talking about the Records in particular, but of my Top 24 A-T lists---where it takes just 30:30 and 36:19 to make it!
Two 15:15's for the guys, and a pair of 18:09's for the ladies!

The USATF Youth Indoor Championships will also be at Ocean Breeze assuming COVID-19 is under control. A date has not been announced but it probably will be the weekend after or before the high school meet. The USATF meet draws more heavily among pre- high schoolers but first have events for the high school age group.
