      In the closing of these World Championships US 10,000 meter runners represented the only positive for US distance runners. Three US men made the finals in this event. If you add Torres in the 5000 meters the US had four men in the finals in the distance events.
      I think Culpepper has found his best event in the 10k. He should stick with it. That is unless he can manage a 2:08 marathon, which would be competitive with the best foreign runners.

      The 10,000 meters is now the USA's best distance event. Culpepper was the best performing US distance runner at these games.
