Did anyone catch this in the news? Armand Duplantis cleared 20'3.3" (6.18m) on Feb. 15, 2020 in Glasgow. Watch the video. He cleared the bar with about 6" to spare and with such perfect form it looked easy. Most vaulters will struggle to clear 19 feet. At the age of 20 he cleared 20 feet in the year 2020! The only other people in history that ever cleared 20 feet are Sergey Bubka and Renaud Levillenie.

Some of us heard something about it. I think it might have been mentioned in passing. The guy is pretty much unknown in these parts though.

Wait, I don't get it. He broke a 20 foot pole? Sounds dangerous...

20' 3.3"?? I'll never get used to this metric system.

Drafting rulers use 10ths of an inch....

For those that believe measuring in tenths is better but are so 'merican they are still anti-metric system. 😃

It's not anti metric....or Pro American....Brits still use miles...

                        Imperial measurements work fine...

Anyways we've been over this a million times...so everyone can get off their high horse....

And drafting rulers are like that because its easier when drawing plans to scale..no one else uses them.

Us Brits are a bit weird. All distances on roads must be in Imperial while everything in shops has to be metric!

Miles work fine....for driving, riding a bike, running whatever..
