    Valarie Allman - Discus Throw - 70.15m
Almost a meter longer than the previous American Record

This was at the Iron Wood Throwers Center in Idaho, but not sure the name of the meet.
Another discus thrower getting a 3m PB to break 70m but this time with photos of the results sheet! That's the way to do it.

I couldn't see any wind movement in the net, so we shouldn't hear any dismissive comments from the usual suspects.

The Lovehle competitors should take note for their next competition.

The home page "Today's Top Headlines" link for Allman's record is to a blog post that includes the photos of the official's event sheets, courtesy of the meet organizers.

            • You know even with the USA season being dead, USA athletes still manage to lead the world lists in something like 12 events or so. Good job.

              • I think it's only 10 in Olympic events, but that still is impressive given the current conditions here.

Yay! I humbly beg her forgiveness for doubting her! I thought she might not ever jump 16' again after her indoor Albq win.

Yes and no. Athletes from some top countries have even more of a problem finding competitive opportunities. Think Kenyans and Ethiopians, except those permanently based in Japan.
