    It ain't Eugene.

    Some good news about a track meet coming to Iowa later this month (from a home-page article);

    The “Blue Oval Showcase” will be held at Drake Stadium later this month. This will be a one-time “one-of-a-kind event,” featuring professional competition Aug. 29. There won’t be any high school or college competition, but big-time track and field will be held in Iowa.

    • At PVA&M, Trumaine Jefferson's mLJ of 24-9 (7.54) +1.4, shouldn't generate any noise, except it's the Murkan Outdoor Effin Leader!

                • It seems the (LetsRun?) grapevine got this one wrong. The BTC races will be a Women's 800 and a Men's 2000 elimination race. Live streaming this time will only be on Instagram.

                    Broke Tyrese Cooper's AAU national record

                            • He had only broken 21 one other time, last month at an age-group meet, 20.89, so that's quite the improvement!
                              Watching the video, he looked great on the curve, a little rough in the homestretch, but an impressive stride length.
