  • M LJ final - who medals?

Anyone care to predict who wins the long jump?

    Key Finalists w/ season best:

    Beckford James JAM 8.21
    Tsátoumas Loúis GRE 8.34
    Tarus Bogdan ROM 8.21
     Davis Walter USA 8.24
     Méliz Luis Felipe CUB 8.20
     Phillips Dwight USA 8.44
    Gaisah Ignisious GHA 8.21
    Zyuskov Volodymyr UKR 8.22
    Lamela Yago ESP 8.53
    Al-Sabee Hussein Taher KSA 8.23

    I say
    1 - Phillips
    2 - Lamela
    3 - Davis

Stringfellow didn't make the finals. Three mediocre jumps, best was 7.83 (translation?).

      so who is your #3?

phillips and lamela for gold, the bronze is wide open, hopefully davis will step up and atone for his failure in the triple jump

I'd have to agree that Phillips and Lamela will battle for the gold. Davis should be able to step up and secure the bronze.

What ever happened to that Australian long jumper who talked much trash about Stringfellow and Phillips @ the Olympics? Obviously, he was a one season wonder.

You almost have to flip a coin...but I'm going to go with Phillips for gold, then Lamela and Davis. I'd LIKE to see someone go 28...here's to hopin', right?
