46:13, set in 1983 by Greg Meyer at Washington, D.C.

Of course, Ryan Hall undoubtedly ran faster for 10 miles than Rupp, but no time was taken at 10 miles. Pointless "record".
BTW, the story says that Patrick Tiernan set the pace, so it wasn't really a "solo run with two guys".

In the RG yesterday Rupp says the last time he ran with anyone else before Friday was the Olympic Trials marathon.
