You and V-e have been ganging up on me lately with facts. That's just unacceptable treatment of a feeble old man by young whippersnappers!

And, no, no AUS LJer has the Q standard of 8.22, even with the expanded performance period.

The last jump I could find was Frayne's jump at the London Diamond League on 22 July 2018 where he jumped 8.24 (-0.5). This was later in the year after his best two jumps ever at the 2018 CWG - 8.34 (+1.1) q and 8.33 +0.8 final for second. Time passes quickly because that's already over three years ago.

      • We are all equally error prone me thinks. Note my gullibility around Davies at Hengelo above.

On Frayne, the current Road to Tokyo lists have him loitering around the cusp of getting in: https://www.worldathletics.org/stats...entId=10229617

And no, I don't understand how that works at all!

Nah, I'm definitely more error prone.

You're just lucky you don't see most of my original texts before the little voice in my head suggests politely that "maybe you should check that supposed fact BEFORE you post".

Anyway, peer review helps improve quality.

He's been steadily knocking off the 1970's crew over the last few years and now there's only one left, sitting at #3 AT:

                  8.26.2h Tony Manning Edinburgh,GBR 23 Jul 70

A 6cm SB in her second jump of the year. Hopefully this proves her problems are behind her.

it was cool and off a wet apron too, so she seems capable of higher in good conditions.

                        • 8-36.29 for Ky Robinson in the NCAA steeple semis cuts 4 seconds off the AUS U20 record that he set only a week or two back. Wonder if he has a little more left for the final.

ETA - and Charlie Hunter a comfortable winner of his 800m SF.
