Not somebody I would have thought of off the top of my head.
Maslák is the very definition of "Mr Indoors" having also won the World Indoors 3 times, although he did get lucky in 2018 benefiting from the original Gold & Silver winners being DQ'd for lane violations. Outdoor PB, 44.79.

Is that a first - mother and daughter (or father/son) BOTH hold a national record?!

I have no idea about mother/ daughter. Shigenobu Morofushi held the national record until it was broken by his son (Koji). His mark from 1984 is still #2 all time. I have heard that at some point, the top 100 performances of all time in Japan belonged to the two of them.

And the women's NR belongs to his daughter (Yuka), who also held the NR in discus until 2019.

I don't know what mark Koji's mother (Serafina Moritz) recorded in javelin. She was an European Junior champion in javelin.

                    • Another NR for Femke Bol, her 4th this season (NRs in every meet!) She edged under her recent time from Torun in 50.64. Lieke Klaver also set a new PB of 51.21. Which is faster than the pre 2021 NR.

Whoops, I think S Little just said, 'not so fast' with her 50.57 today.
Now we have 2 for the Gold and 2 for the Bronze.

                          • That was a great jump on the 6.91, and her average was about 6.77 (how does that compare with the prior WL?); her mother is May. And Tamberi didn't even touch the bar; great to see him back and a WL is nothing to sneeze at because last year was so low (and the last several years have been so down after the great several years).
