    My thinking was he ran 33.78 last year, then a month later ran 47.10 and 46.87. So after this opener, in about a month, he should be in form to run 47.00. But ofcourse thats not how the world works, so well have to wait and see!

    I do really hope the WR gets taken down though. It would be a bummer if it turned out like the HJ in 2013 - 2015, they get so close, but then 4 years later were back to seeing everyone struggle to break 48 seconds.

    Thanks for the link. I agree with you that Warholm wasn't very smooth over some of the early hurdles. Some choppiness and hesitation on his part. But I was impressed at how strong he finished this race. It looks like Warholm is in sub 47 shape right now. I predict he gets the WR sometime this season.

    You can watch the race in this tweet account. IMO he did not look as smooth. He had some hesitation on 2nd one before last hurdle. He will get better, much better soon. It is a bit late to run a first race in June when Olympics is in July.

    Might have been, might not have been; he was pretty sharp by late May/early June in each of 2017, 2018 and 2019 and didn't improve his season bests much from there, but 2020 wasn't the most normal of years.

    Either way though, 33.26 is already something great and I think we can expect more great things in the next weeks.
