Oh, the commentator said it wasn't officially recognized . . . bad commentator, bad boy!

What happened to DSDs not running these length events? Or is it just 400 - 1500?

            • How does a commenter who's probably been following athletics for the past couple of months, still say "Momba"?

Well deserved! Long time coming and a cap to what was the season of his life, despite no medal.

It will be hard to keep him off the podium next year with a stadium full of Oregon fans cheering for him.

                  • I would have sworn I saw McSweyn on the entry lists for one of these meets today, which would have been crazy after Zurich and Great North (but I guess you could say completely in character). But now I don't see him. Maybe he wisely scratched.

Allman finishes at 69.63. What a season! She had 2 sub-par meets right after Tokyo, but otherwise an epic year.

My compatriot Jenny Meadows was a fine athlete but unfortunately she's also becoming a master mangler of names!

On to the 3000m, then the 2 mile...

Maybe seeing or saying Mboma triggers some PTSD in her, considering that Meadows was deprived of silver in 2009 by another DSD athlete.

I think Meadows is wonderfully entertaining. She couldn't say Niyonsaba correctly either. I like "Mamba". I watched Namibian tv and the actual pronunciation appears to be "Boma", the "m" completely silent.
