These dubious whereabouts violations, and Richardson's ridiculous weed suspension, while actual performance enhancing dopers whine and wriggle out of their deserved penalties, shows just how lost and subject to mission drift WADA and USADA have become. The anti-doping regime was humiliated and exposed by the systematic Russian doping deceptions, and now they are casting about and it appears that it may never really recover.

HUH??? Brianna literally did a whole interview with the NYT telling the world about her abortion to garner sympathy (And disguise the fact her ban is for evidence tampering not missing a test).

SCR was on the Today show this morning being interviewed about her mental health and mother's death.

And considering whats happened with McNeal, Richardson, Mboma and Masilingi, I'm pretty disappointed specifically in how Houlihan, the only person found to have actually take a performance enhancing substance, was able to do a whole sympathy rollout about how she did nothing wrong and the system is messed up.

These 4 athletes have wayyyyyyy more clout to complain about the system yet have not even attempted to do so. So many things are not right here.

Unless the scenario and facts laid out in this New York Times story are substantially wrong, this is yet another avoidable black mark and really bad look for the sport.

It was indeed totally avoidable. If only Ms McNeal would stop missing tests and tampering with evidence.

Those cases have almost nothing in common
the two young Namibian runners likely have too high testosterone levels to compete in the 400, but can compete in the 200, steeplechase and most other events. Nothing they did wrong and very unfortunate but overall fair
SCR knowingly used a banned substance which even though not performance enhancing still on the banned list. To her credit she admitted it.
McNeil (and to some extent Coleman) had already violated the whereabouts rules (McNeil already served a years ban and Coleman let off on a technicality) and then violated them again. McNeil tried to deceive the testers and then when it didn’t work blamed them. Coleman did the same but at least he didn’t try to compete at the trials. Personally I was totally surprised that McNeil was allowed to compete at all at the trials.
