  • 2021 U.S. Outdoor Season

lots of changes coming for traditional meets?

e.g., Mt. SAC is now spread out over a month, with the preps split off from the collegiate/pro weekend.

Invitational Multi Events | April 14-15

    Collegiate Classic | April 15-16

Invitational Distance Carnival | April 15-16

International Day of Champions | April 17

Community College Invitational | May 1

High School Invitational | May 14-15

should we expect more of this?

I imagine most large invitationals held by colleges will probably either drop the high school sections or do what Mt. SAC has done.

Just depends on where they are. Texas and Florida have generally had everything wide open.

              Like?

Texas Tech indoor meets -- "Due to capacity limitations, tickets will not be available for sale for the general public. At this time, we are not able to accommodate any visiting team pass lists."

Houston -- "There will be no spectators allowed into the meet."

Can you imagine the Petri dish the marshaling area would become at Penn, say during the HS 4x100s?

This is a good time to be a SP fan. Seems like lots of good'ns are swarming, up'n'coming or already there. .

Some decent performances at the Prickly Pear Inv, but nothing earth-shattering.

Except probably deepest ever outdoor men's 3k on US soil - Scott 7:36, Fisher 7:37, McGorty 7:37, etc.
                        12 under 7:50

                          Good times, considering Flagstaff's altitude.

Scottsdale was the location of the meet.

You're right. For some reason, I had it in my mind that it was in Flagstaff. My bad.
