Re wHT, I'm willing to believe Kopron, who said the circle in Split wasn't very good. The HT results weren't great overall. I hope to see most of the top Polish HTers compete next week in Halle; the results there should be more representative of their form. I'm pretty excited about Matuszewicz as well - I've never seen her compete myself, but other people say she's got great potential.

Re Andrejczyk: the conditions in Split were reportedly pretty favorable to JT, but she still beat a strong field by a large margin. I've been a huge fan of hers since Rio (although I did follow her progress before then), so I'm really hoping in Tokyo she can do what she couldn't in 2016. BTW, if you want to hear her interview after the competition in Split, it's here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MasladHJ32k (starts at 9:48:44)

            Hi Powell,
At the moment, what's the situation at the moment regarding international participation in traditionally international meetings in Poland?

I'm looking at the entry lists on Domtel Sport for this Saturday's InterEuropol Memoriał Zygmunta Szelesta meeting in Warsaw but there's only Polish & Polish-based athletes (Peinado) listed ... However, I have noticed in the past that these entry lists on Domtel often do only include the domestic athletes.

Yes, that's true, Domtel serves as entry system only for athletes registered with the Polish federation. In the past, there was always foreign participation in the meet, so there'll likely be some international athletes this year, too, but I don't have any details as of now. There is no ban on foreign athletes competing in Poland and starting this weekend, with the loosening of the lockdown, they will even allow some fans in stadiums.

I was surprised to see her jump so well in season debut after very poor form indoors. Looks like she had room to spare on the 1.94 clearance, too - the angle isn't the best, but you can see it here: https://twitter.com/kpsportpl/status...93828621479936
