Update on the Dutch team, in an interview this week Meuwly has rightly stated that Saturday's events are the most important, as opposed to the Sunday finals, as once you Q for the Sunday, you're also Q for Tokyo & Eugene. The m4x1 and w4x4 are already qualified so their is less pressure in those events.

He thinks the w4x100m should qualify fine as long as the baton is passed safely around, and the he thinks they can go for the win on the Sunday with no JAM or USA.

However, he said the m4x4 will be tougher and he'll need to run his 4 best in that event on the Saturday.

For the mixed 4x4, with the top men in the m4x4, he will run his strongest women to ensure they Q, so looks like Bol and Klaver will run that at least on the Saturday, to ensure Q for the final on Sunday. So the w4x4 on the Saturday may be the De Witte sisters, Dopheide and Saalberg. They should still be ok to Q for the final, depending on how tough their heat is.

Unfortunately for India, no one wants any one coming from India to their country right now.

        • Scanning thru the latest tweets here, looks like a lot of the countries are already in Poland... what squads/members remains the question...

Apart from the major names whose withdrawal has been announced, they should be here. But from what I heard, many European teams aren't arriving until tomorrow. I guess they feel spending less time here means less risk and fewer covid tests to take.
