    Asafa Powell 10.07 (+4.5)

What are the chances he goes under 10 this season? I think he has 97 sub 10 races

One of those HS kids beat Trayvon Bromell over 200m the other day

After her 12.55 heat, Tobi Amusan improved to 12.48 in the final--2nd was over a second back!!
          Both times legal wind!

          Also, ET-Herah ran 10.78 (1.8 wind) in the final, 2nd 0.30 back!

Equals her personal best for 2019! (which she ran twice in Doha). I think she will definitely surpass the Nigerian national record this year (12.44)

Jaylen Slade just ran 20.20 +0.3 in the 200m. That would be an American U18 record but not sure when his birthday is?

As noted in the other US News thread, he turns 18 on October 27, so this would not qualify for a U18 record.

Great running by ET-Herah. I really hope she can stay healthy so she can fight to defend her 100m title. I think her ceiling is the highest among the top three contenders.

DAS makes it a top 4 IMO. Don't be surprised if pops off a 10.7 before Tokyo as well.

                          Higher than 21yo Richardson (10.72 +1.6) ?

I am loathe to make precise predictions based on a season opener, even if it were as vague as "she may well run up to a tenth faster considering how early that was."
I'll just say I think her first race will be far from her best.

Anyone know why Tori Bowie is a DNS again? Tom Jones was 2 weeks ago and weather looked great in videos.

True! I could see a scenario where DAS keeps SR off the podium actually. The former's a sterling championship performer.

Yes. I could be quite wrong, though. Let's see.
