Don't know about Baker, but Brazier had an "ankle issue", his coach said.
He's better, but he's being cautious!

Wouldn't it be really nice to see a footballer try the quarter?

I bet there are some elite soccer players who could run a decent (48) 400.

I think there's a lot of football and basketball players that with very minimal formal training could put up some great high jump, long jump and triple jump marks. I heard about a TX HS kid today who just went out for track as a senior for the first time and in the 6th competitive jump of his life yesterday (not "meet," but "jump") went 50-4 to win 5A state. I'm not saying 7-8, 27 feet or 57 feet, but ...

6'8" and 250 pounds... 3 months training... 27' long jump... I'll bet you all the money in the Federal Reserve that that wouldn't happen.

The height is a huge advantage and he sure seems to handle the 250 awfully well.
                          Momentum is a dangerous thing!
And OBVIOUSLY you're underestimating my mad coaching skills!

Maybe someone can try to determine how far MJ would have jumped on his famous pump and dunk from the free throw line given that he was above the rim when he reached the backboard...and that is with a basketball in his hand and no LJ training...how about Kobe?

There’s a kid named Conley who might’ve been okay if he hadn’t focused on the zillions of $ in the NBA.

I believe a 22 year old Jordan, Kobe and James could sail well past 27'

...but probably not in 3 months.
