- "Land of the Gods: The Legend of the Marathon," which will be released in late 2006, is a documentary film on the legacy of the marathon. The film is produced by three-time Academy Award winning director Mark Jonathan Harris, who captures the essence of the marathon through six runners (four amateurs and two elites) during the 2005 LaSalle Bank Chicago Marathon. 2004 Olympic bronze medalist Deena Kastor is one of the elites. The film also features Dick Beardsley, Bill Rodgers, Kathrine Switzer, and Grete Waitz. Check out the must-see trailer.
