Wow, Ingebrigtsen destroyed them on that last 200. Fantastic run, and a pretty speedy top six. Cheptegei ran out of gas.

I think this is the case. Probably would just count as a NM and ends up in 3rd, unless one of the other 2 foul, which I guess would make both of them 3rd place.

Who knows. I think we all agree its a dumb format/concept.

And now both Mihambo and Spanovic have passed their 5th round jumnps. Be interesting to see what unfolds in round 6 as to the final place standings.

The Diamond league is on a roll with the 3rd best person winning the whole competition. Does this effect prize money for the athletes?

              another competely f'd up result
and another lowering of credibility of the sport

The wLJ outcome is PROOF how bad this format is.

I would be willing to bet that the total body of work that Gebrhiwet put in this week is good enough to earned him a spot on the Ethiopia 10,000 meter Olympic Team!

After her 11.15 last week I thought there was a turning point, but she's obviously better over 100m than 200m. Her bend was awful - although she has been instructed to take the bend easy because of previous back issues - but she went backwards in the straight.
I appreciate the objectivity in your analysis.
I suspect her back problems either prevent her from doing the necessary training to finish the 200 or prevent her from recovering fully from the two 100m races in Hengelo on sunday.
Anyway, whatever physical problems she has, sadly, they just don't seem to go away completely.

I'd put it even with Hassan.

From the Diamond League website, "adding drama, jeopardy and excitement for stadium spectators and the millions of television fans around the world". Really? I guess it adds jeopardy, but I would expect to read something like this in The Onion.

She definitely threw down with ease.
