I can’t see USC running slower than 3:25 here. Definitely will make A&M earn it.

Hopefully we get Mu unleashed on the anchor leg. If USC & Arkansas run to their capabilities, A&M should be behind on the final leg, IMO. Hope everyone stays healthy....could be epic!

I suspect Mu might need to put her "foot down" on Saturday. Though it will be interesting to see how much USC has in the tank after their 400m trio go to battle in the open race.

I wonder if Roberts has an injury as after not being a qualifier in the open 400m she did not run on the 4 x 400m.

That seems likely. Why else would you not run your A team with so much at stake? It sounds similar to LSU's men not running Naoh Williams.

Perhaps we might see Anna Cockrell running that 3rd leg instead. With the burners up front, she should be able to avoid major traffic and provide Constantine with a better closing opportunity.

That seems like the correct move if Roberts wasn't held back for some odd reason and is fine Saturday. Cockrell is likely no faster than Harris over the flat but might be a better relay runner and has plenty of experience. It probably isn't enough to get them past A&M but Florida and ??UCLA?? are the bigger issues immediately. Whoever is right in front of Shae Anderson better bring their skates because she is taking no prisoners on her anchor leg.

LSU ran their B team (no Mason, no Ofili), but I suspect that has more to do with laying down their sword in a lost cause, rather than substituting for injured runners.

4th outdoor CR for MU, 5th for indoor 800m and not sure if the indoor 600m counts.

                          Off to Olympic trials!

Interesting that USC didnt run Cockrell on the relay. She's probably tired from the double though.

Also Shea Anderson with the 2nd best split of 49.99.
