Considering he ran the same time as Degrasse and Huges, Im not too worried.

It looks like the rain stayed away, it’s even sunny and definitely not cold at all. times have been slow compared to the three previous DL meets and the Hungarian meet.

As with the triple jump, the javelin sees the 2nd best performer finish in 3rd place

          They didn't look good, either.

            Thats a fair point.

But IMO, I'm putting little stock in these meets up to Tokyo considering how many people are skipping them and how athletes probably are training through them. On the flip side athletes like Kate Grace, Shamire Little, Isiaah Harris etc are thriving after not making the team...

Fair point that we don't know exactly what the athletes are doing at the moment but if all are on the same path then it is easier to compare them. Baker and Bromell (save for his stumble) have looked good in the 100 while the remainder of competitors have looked flat. That might change in a few weeks.

Where was this Kate Grace a couple weeks ago?

Three field events today with the final 3 formant. All of them got the winner right, but all of them got the 2nd and 3rd place wrong.

So when was the last DL field event competition using this format in the DL that had a 1-2-3 in order of best marks from the competition?

I think it may have happened in the men's LJ in Stockholm where Gayle wasn't leading but then did the biggest jump of the competition in the final round?

Stephanie McPherson won the women's 400m in 50.44.

                    Looking good for Tokyo.

A blah meet, except for 1 or 2 events.
More like a Heusden-Zolder type of meet---no offense to H-Z!
                      LOL

Looked like a jog for her. Depending on who shows up in Tokyo that 400m could be wide open.

Would be amazing to see her win a medal and stand on the podium for the first time after making every global final since 2013. (she got upgraded to bronze after 4th place in 2013).

Bol seemed to be chopping her strides a bit on the backstretch, and still looked good. She is definitely ready to earn a medal.

Hope C Murphy is training through these DL meets. He looks pretty flat and he will need to open up a can of Sharpen-Up in the next two weeks if he wants to even make the 800 final.

                                Probably running 4:07 - 1500, same as today 4:27 - mile.
