ah yes - congratulations. I am very impressed with 80+, because I know I spent HOURS researching the damn thing and could only get 79.

So now that the T&FN staff is apparently back in the U.S. (over that jet lag yet?) please tell us: who won? Or do we have to wait until the next issue?

Magazine said the deadline for totally your score was September 10. In the mean time it would be nice to know how many entries there were and what the top totals reported so far are.

I think 84 is not enough to win the WC contest.
Some other (maybe without internet) 'd haved scored more.

Too funny. Now I see. Just got my August TFN.

What exactly did the September 10 deadline mean? Do snail mail scores just have to be postmarked by then? When are we likely to actually see the winners?

They'll just publish it in next month's issue, not due out for several weeks.

Yes, it's a magazine contest, so results will be published there. There are still (many) subscribers who aren't in the e-world.

By the way, hope all of you who played the on-line version during the Worlds enjoyed it. I did, even though my picks quickly went into the tank! I'm still trying to figure out how Lilot cheated.

Well let's see - he's the statistician for a magazine whose sole purpose is to gather info about T&F from all over the world, which means that his 9-5 (8-6? 7-7? 6-8?) job is to make sense of all the performances that he must find out about, he's probably even geekier than the rest of us (and that's asking a lot) about track or he wouldn't be working for the peanuts that gh probably pays him, and he has that secret track teletype by his bed that feeds him insider status quo info 24/7. Other than that I have no idea how he did it. Which is not to say that I don't hate his guts for beating me by so much.

Does Kellie White count? I had 42 women medallists right if she does. and 40 men.

My brother did better but I don't know if he entered TFN's contest 41 women and 44 men.
