Canada had some bad exchanges. I thought they were going to win.

Methinks Carl ought to take over the coaching duties. Whenever he was on a relay, they dared not fuck up. Once more, he had pretty much the same group of guys for the better part of 5 years. When too many of our guys keep falling off the radar in the open 100, from year to year, that opens the door for chaos in the relay.

Tortu has been one of my favourite upcoming sprinters over the past 4-5 years. Every single race he always does that perfect, hard dip....it finally paid off. Even Michael Johnson just complimented his perfect form on the BBC, compared to NMB's form swaying side-to-side.
Think I said earlier in the thread Jacobs and Tortu have to be on the straight legs. I just wasn't sure if Tortu had the run down ability.

In 2021 he has only run 10.28 and 20.56

I wonder what they would have run.

Yah, they got off to a great start with Brown to Blake. The exchanges between Blake to Rodney to De Grasse left a tenth or so on the table, but that's the nature of relays. Italians and GB were brilliant in finding the best balance stretching the zones.
