        How about....

        Gerald Tinker...Robert Taylor...Eddie Hart...Rey Robinson
Robinson finished 2nd in the trials and was given the same time as Hart, so I always assumed there was some politics involved in putting Tinker, the 4th place finisher, on the team instead.

Thinking Robinson simply couldn't take and give a baton having ran anchor all his life.

Tinker was going to be there, it was bringing in Larry Black to take his place.

          • uh guys,, we've somehow gotten miles away from the topic of this thread... Nesta Carter didn't belong in it in the first place

            • Surprised to see no follow up comments on this thread about GB losing their medals after the recent articles pinned to the front page.

Kilty seems pretty upset. Most likely his last chance at an Olympic medal. The one article by the Mirror shows the four athletes 'celebrating' with their silver medals and CJ is the only one not smiling. (But I don't think he ever smiles)

At least they didn't lose a Gold medal.

I saw Gerald Tinker play football at Coral Gables High. It was really hysterical. They'd throw him a sideline pass and he'd head sideways toward the opposite sideline, then back again, advancing toward the goal line not many yards at a time. He was so much faster and more athletic than the opposition he knew he could get away with it. They'd be collapsing and giving up one at a time.

Surprised it took so long. I actually thought they had already been stripped since the news about CJ came out right after the Games.

Considering Kilty's classic Brit tough-as-nails personality his reaction doesn't shock me. He recently became a dad and getting an Olympic medal for his son to see must've meant the world. To be stripped of that is tough.
