    I'd like to argue with that, but . . . I got nothing . . .

They held the M & W DT for the Brussels DL today, so the point totals are now in:

      First, the results:
Daniel Stahl 69.31 (also won the sudden-death), Fedric Dacres 65.18, but 2nd in the showdown, Kristjan Ceh 65.68, but fouled in the showdown, Andrius Gudzius 64.14
Ceh leads with 26 points, followed by Stahl 24, Simon Pettersson 17, Gudzius 16, Lukas Wiesshaidinger 14, and Dacres 12. He passed Lawrence Okoye, who did not compete in Brussels, for the 6th and final place in Zurich.

W DT Yaime Perez 66.47 and won the showdown with 63.41, Valarie Allman 64.25 and 63.38, Sandra Perkovic 65.14 but fouled, Denia Caballero 62.28, Marija Tolj 61.00, Liliana Ca 61.66. These are also the top six in points, as Kristin Pudenz, Ca and Tolj were tied at 8 coming in, with Claudine Vita 4th with 10. Vita finished 9th, got no points, and is out. Tolj and Ca finished ahead of Pudenz, who is also out. Taking only six makes for tough qualification.
      Cheers,

        A question for GH.

How will TFN assess these DL results for annual ranking when, for example, the best thrower comes 3rd in round 6.

She did (have to) correct the mispronunciation of her name 3 times, but she was sweet, and even though there was confidence re her ability to break the WR, it was confidence, not cockiness.

If she can keep doing this, she will win over more fans.

Oh, Kim Gavaert, who was interviewing, looks fabulous, like she hasn't aged. She did look very nervous asking the questions, but she did relax once Sha'Carri was a good sport.
It's Ying and Yang when it comes to SCR. Post USA Trials up to the Allyson Felix's Kimmel interview we saw a lot of the not so good. The press conference yesterday we saw all of the good and how, as you said, delightful she can be. She seemed relaxed and I enjoyed her just speaking with thorough answers.

Olymipic gold medalist Kim G definitely looks like she hasn't aged at all. She did appear to be somewhat nervous herself. Coming from someone who has interviewed a lot of high profile musicians I can tell she was nervous and was focused on getting all of her questions out and to not say something the wrong way. I think that's why she messed up her name because her focus was on her questions.

I have no issue with SCR correcting people. If you're a regular T&F journalist at this point you should know. Prior to this season I was saying her name wrong, I saw her press conference in Ostrava where the name controversy started, after seeing her correct people there I got it right and haven't forgotten.

SCR is 21 years old. She's still a kid in many ways. I'll make no assessment of her personality at this point and I don't care what happened "a few moments" between Eugene and Eugene. Nobody will give a shit in a year. And ultimately it's none of my business if she's fiery, spicy, and a bit over the top. Whether that brings more people to the sport, or alienates some, is moot. She's a young woman still growing up.

Really looking forward to the mens 400mH. Despite no Warholm or Benjamin, Dos Santos vs McMaster should be great. As we saw in Stockholm, Dos Santos can run fast on his own.

The distance races could be VERY fast!
                  Pacers are set to run---
                  49.50 in Men's 800
                  2:20 for 1000 in Men's 1500
                  2:06 & 2:37 for 800 & 1000 in Women's Mile

But the Women's 800 pace is only 58.0, and the 5000 is strange--2:50 for the first K, but then slowing to 3:00 for the 2nd K!!

If the weather conditions are OK, I clearly see a sub-9"80 and a sub 44"00 tomorrow...

Makes no sense when everyone is running 1:44 and slower.

True the 800 has been really slow this year! Wow ! We need it to be better next year in Eugene.

The females have been fantastic though! They have some real future stars.

Want to see Kerley run real fast , plus maybe Norman will crank a sub 10 as well.

Your vision is WAY better than mine. I can barely see a 44.50.
