If Fred Kerley wins the DL final in a fast time, is there a world where he ranks #1 in the 100m? After beating Bromell here (and Baker twice already), I think he is currently US #1. But Jacobs has shut his season down leaving the door open.

Mondo over 5.75 by a foot-and-a half, which, of course, would be WR territory.

Niyonsaba got plenty of hugs after that.

Yes Kerley should be 1 at 100. He has been consistent all year long. Doesn’t anyone else find it strange that Jacob’s just shut it down after Tokyo👀. ? I do , but I may be wrong. You have big meets on your continent, yet you miss all of them after Tokyo. He could even have skipped Eugene too. Just saying.

Monson, incredible year. Went straight from Univ (sort of) to the upper ranks of U.S. women's distance running. Cranny and Schweizer are 25, she's 23.

I'm surprised Kara Goucher didn't mention Monson after the race--about her time!
But that's typical NBCSN, not Kara's fault!
