  • Not sure I've ever seen a pass at 2.01 like that (Las).

And she's over 2.03!! As is Mahuch! McD passes after a miss.

    • Lasitskene really is the one of the best clutch performers. 2 misses at 1.96m and now clear at 2.03m

      • McCarter freight-trains an 8.14. He's a big guy.

            Well, it ain't hurting!

I didn't realize that McD is 24; Ida thot she was 20/21.

Watching Lasit in slo-mo - I really like her take-off, very efficient.

Let's amend that. Both go. Then we get Kovacs and Crouser auto-in. There's still two more places at the WC Trials.

                            • I rather fancy this setup for field events. Not as big as a stadium but it's more intimate and the focus is all on the field events.

I also like the smaller final field. 12 is too much, I think in championships make the cutoff 8, I wouldn't even mind 6 like they did here. You get to know the athletes better and let's face it...pretty rare a 10th or 12th place qualifier does anything in the final.

Crouser looks like a caged panther, waiting for the fix.
Now he looks like AOY. Undefeated, new world record, Olympic champion.
